Clash analysis: an assembly can be checked by "clash" button which allows check all contacts and interferences.

FE Analysis: Catia is able to do a finit element analysis. That is no so good as Ansys, but still good for a first approaching.
Surfaces: Catia is the best CAD program for "no-regular" surfaces designing. Fuselages or aircraft wings have an easy design with this tool.
